I have stopped reading newspapers
I have stopped watching TV
In journalism, we were taught that bad news Ȋ̝̊̅§ good news. That Ȋ̝̊̅§ to say that bad news sell most.
But i have gotten sick of bad news, so i A̶̲̥̅♏ done with the news.
I A̶̲̥̅♏ constantly cAlling up my friends in the North to check if they are still alive.
α̲̅πϑ even though we aint at war, i always duck whenever there Ȋ̝̊̅§ åª helicopter over my head.
Like you never know the day boko haram might start throwing their bombs from helicopters
I remember how as kids we always came out to wave at helicopters when we saw one, without even caring who was in it. Just åª stupid memory that always comes back at the sight of åª helicopter.
The price of petrol went double lately
So the prices of every good α̲̅πϑ service in the country has gone double too
α̲̅πϑ i can't help but wonder who Ȋ̝̊̅§ more greedy, the leaders or the masses
I hate going out these days, cuz of all the money someone has to spend on everything these days. I wish i could stop going out too.
What åª way to start åª new year, everything seems so disorganized. The president comes across as one who Ȋ̝̊̅§ never sure of what he Ȋ̝̊̅§ doing. They have called him åª quiet president Ƒø̲я̅ so long, so he decided to show them that slow water could sometimes run fast. He decided to punish them, why else would he chose the first of January to remove the subsidy on petrol.
Petrol prices have come down åª bit again, the NLC strike has been suspended, α̲̅πϑ now i have to wait Ƒø̲я̅ Nigerian universities to end their own strike so that we can finally have our convocation α̲̅πϑ i can finally be åª real university graduate. Jeez, everything Ȋ̝̊̅§ so disorganized. α̲̅πϑ A̶̲̥̅♏ so tired of ranting joor
The bible says that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us, i strongly believe this. We are gonna be here through everything, wiser presidents to come, åª better education sector, better electricity supply Ƒø̲я̅ god sakes, lower prices even. The world says things never get better, but the bible says we can survive all.

this is so true. One of the things i always hated about reading african novels were the sad stories told overtime. I have stopped listening to news. I am with you everything will get better IJN, from our education to our leaders.

Hmm...at least they reduced the fuel price increase, hope it trickles down. Naija...
hopefully things would stabilize soon
Happy new year
Hmmmm, it's such a pathetic situation we find ourselves and the end to this trauma hardly seems anywhere in sight. We can only pray and I definitely share your optimism in this matter. Everything has an expiry date and so do these hard times. Someday hopefully, we'd all look back and smile.
People, THE GEEBEE CHRONICLES is back. Catch up on the latest episodes.
Nigeria #sigh
Great post. We should all pray for our country.

:((((
I feel so bad about the state of Nigeria, i'm kind of nervous about coming home in may cos i dont know what to expect.
I just wish the government can get their act together, why cant we have a strong virtuous president for once?! Jeesh!
Blessings.......
hmmmmmm, this is very provocative. Its rivetting about the helicopter, truly sad how trauma has shifted the memory to something ugly.
Keep writing, keep sharing and under no circumstances give in to dispair.
peace...
stay blessed
